Where creativity meets technology
At Atelier NOU2, every project is a collaboration. A collaboration between Danielle and Carl, between art and engineering, between dreams and reality, between needs and solutions.
Every step of our process is dedicated to transforming an idea into a unique, durable product, crafted with care using the latest 3D printing technologies.
Here is how Atelier NOU2 creations come to life.
Understanding the Need
Identification
Every project begins with a discussion. We take the time to understand the needs, objectives, and challenges that our product will need to address. This step allows us to fully grasp expectations, set priorities, and lay the foundations for a tailored, sustainable solution that is perfectly aligned with the project's requirements.
Research
Before designing anything, we analyze existing solutions, technical constraints, available materials, and the possibilities offered by 3D printing. This phase helps us select the best approach to achieve a high-performance, reliable, and durable product.
Development
Once the information has been gathered, we develop a solid concept by considering functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics, and ease of manufacturing. Every decision is made with the goal of creating a product that meets both our quality requirements and the real needs of our customers.
Bringing Ideas to Life
Design
It's at this stage that the project really starts to take shape. We design a product that is aesthetic, functional, and pleasant to use. Every detail is carefully considered to achieve the best possible balance between design, performance, robustness, and ease of use.
Modeling
Thanks to 3D modeling, the concept becomes a precise digital model. We can visualize each component, check dimensions, make necessary adjustments, and validate functionality even before manufacturing. This step reduces errors and accelerates prototype development.
CREATE A PROTOTYPE
First Impression
The time has come to turn the idea into reality. We make a first prototype using our 3D printers to check the dimensions, assembly, functionality, and general appearance. This initial version confirms the design choices and already allows us to identify possible improvements before production.
TEST AND REFINE
Revision
Each prototype undergoes a rigorous evaluation. We analyze its functionality, durability, ergonomics, and finish to identify potential improvements. All our new products are also tested by Danielle, who creates an actual woven piece to validate their performance under real-world usage conditions.
Correction
Test results allow us to continually improve our creations. We adjust dimensions, optimize details, and refine each element until we obtain a product that is reliable, durable, and perfectly suited to its use. This step is essential to achieve our quality standards.
ENGINEERED WITH PRECISION
Choosing the
Right Material
Once the prototype is approved, production begins on our 3D printer farm. Our equipment fleet allows us to efficiently manufacture unique parts, prototypes, or small series while maintaining consistent quality and rigorous control from the first to the last unit.
Printing with our printer farm
Once the prototype is approved, production begins in our 3D printer farm. Our equipment enables us to efficiently manufacture unique parts, prototypes, or small series while ensuring consistent quality from the first to the last item.
ENSURING QUALITY
Primary Inspection
Each part is inspected immediately after printing. We check the dimensions, layer quality, strength, and general appearance to detect any anomaly. This initial inspection allows us to ensure that each product meets our manufacturing standards.
Correction
When necessary, we carry out the finishing touches that will make all the difference. Cleaning, sanding, assembly, adjustments, or touch-ups are performed meticulously to achieve a flawless result. Each intervention contributes to improving the final quality and user experience.
Final Inspection
Before leaving our workshop, each creation undergoes a final full inspection to validate its conformity, operation, and quality. And of course, no piece leaves without the official approval of our chief quality control sniffer, Chewie. His olfactory inspection is perhaps the most important... and so far, no product has managed to escape him!
